The last 10 months have seen so many changes. Alex has now officially been outside my belly longer than he was in. And to have watched him grow from a helpless newborn to an active baby that laughs and plays has been nothing short of totally amazing. He's still a little squirt (we fondly call him our primordial dwarf), but he's thriving and growing and changing everyday. The #1 thing I have gained as a new parent is a great appreciation for my own parents. You just can't understand how much your parents truly love you until you experience that same love for your own child. Thanks Mom and Dad for every sacrifice that you made for me. I only hope that I can provide Alex with the same confidence and opportunity that you gave me, and that he becomes just as well-balanced and happy as an adult. Wow, it's hard to imagine my baby as an adult. I guess that's also how my parents feel about me!

This post is So TRUE! It's fun seeing your parents having so much fun with Alex, isn't it?
Yep, Love you & miss you as much as ever. We only wish the best for all of you. ------------- Dad
Just remember Grammer Bev's advice :
#1. Never do anything for your child that they can do for themselves ! ( Do you think it is a coincidence that you and Scott and Mackenna are sooooo capable and independent? )
#2. Until they are 18, you are your children's mother - NOT their friend !
#3. After they are 18, you are their friend and NOT their mother ! ( Gotta be honest - this is the hard one ! )
Libby, you and Albert will be wonderful parents - just don't lose sight of being spouses, too.
We are really proud of you guys - Miss you lots and love you more, MOM
