Mommy Translation

Kids do say some funny things.  Like, for example, this is what Josh said to me today while I was making him lunch:   "Mommy, I watch move-it, move-it at the move-it, move-it store!"

I don't know why that cracked me up so much, but it was the perfect example of why people without toddlers cannot understand toddlers, and why you are often the only one who can understand your own toddler.  What he meant by this was:   "The other night, when you and Daddy took me to a furniture store after dinner to look for a television console for the living room, the nice (or smart) salesman at the store put on a Madagascar DVD in the home theater room so that you and Daddy could actually shop.  It was cool.  I want to go back."
