We have a fantastic local
hobby shop that has a large warehouse with multiple RC car tracks for enthusiasts. Even I think its pretty neat. The kids like to go watch the cars race around, and there's almost always people out using the tracks. Albert got interested and got a
starter car a few years ago. It wasn't long before his car got passed on to Alex and we had two. Then Santa (how did he know?) brought Josh one. We've been racing them out at Poppa J's house and everyone likes to drive them around. Luckily they are quite indestructible. I'd say the kids are hard on them... but I'm probably the worst driver of the bunch!
The kids have been talking about building a track at Poppa J's house like the ones at the hobby shop. Poppa J said they could use the land out behind the hangar if they wanted to put in the labor to do it. Of course, it doesn't hurt to have neighbors and friends willing to pitch in, and neighbors with little yellow diggers (not sure what they're really called, but we call most yellow construction heavy equipment little yellow diggers after a children's book we own of the same name)!
