The day we picked to go Ice Skating in the village, it happened to snow all night and continue to snow all day. Not to be deterred, just the bravest of heart ventured out for ice skating. Skating on a snow-covered rink was a new experience though. Alex and Mary highly recommended it, as extra cushion for the tush is always appreciated by beginning skaters. And I personally found it SO much more enjoyable to skate on a rink with only a small handful of people on it. When they kicked us off the ice to run the Zamboni, there was probably 2-3" of snow accumulation. So much that the Zamboni had to empty out its entire chamber after wiping half the rink. Did you know that whole front compartment of the Zamboni lifts up like a dump truck to empty out all the excess snow?
