And what would New Years be without a resolution-post, so here goes... as Laura pointed out, publicly announcing your resolutions does have a way of helping to get them accomplished!
1. Remember birthdays! I'm terrible at keeping track of birthdays, but this year I am going to remember them on-time. I've got the list compiled on two calendars (Google calendars is awesome- I highly recommend it!), so I've got no excuses this year!
2. Be consistent, fair and firm with Alex! This is easier said than done with a toddler that is either deliberately testing your patience or so freaking-adorable that you just want to give them the moon, but as we learned when puppy-training, it's most important in achieving a well-mannered, well-adjusted, productive member of the family. Some days it's hard to not react out of anger or frustration, or fail to react out of exhaustion, but I'm going to try my very best.
3. Learn Spanish! It has been much more of an uphill battle than I ever imagined. Languages never were my forte. But I still believe it's important and a skill I'd like my boys to have, so I will keep working at it.
4. Make more time for Albert and myself. It's too easy in the daily work of taking care of two little people and everything else that goes along with running a family and household to forget to make time for us as a couple, but something I think is very important for us to continue to do always. So here's to another year of us trying to make each other's lives as better as we can so that together we are more than the sum of our parts and as secure, happy and fulfilled as we can be. Olive juice!

Hey I can use some tips on the resolution concerning Alex. After 12 days home with the boys and Jon, let's just say I don't have all the patience in the world. I swear to god if I say "Sit down" firmly and nicely ONE MORE TIME when they are both standing on the kitchen chairs I might LOSE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is taking everything in me not to scream "SIT THE EF DOWN ALREADY."
Maybe I should have made one of my resolutions to not capitalize stuff as much.
Anyhow, happy new year to the Ramirez family and can't wait to see pics!
